The aim of this work is to study the stabilization of the quality of the mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis during unfavorable natural conditions for growth. For this, living mussels were storage in pools with controlled conditions (temperature 16 ± 1 °C, salinity: 35psu, pH 8 and dissolved oxygen 0.7mg / L). An alternative lowcost diet to microalgae was assigned during 10 days of storage. In the same way, mixture of silt and macroalgal powder and mixture of green macroalgal E.intestinalis and Ulva sp were tested. Results showed that the effect of diet brought on condition index differs depending on the nature of the allocated food substitutes.
