Residus of p,p'-DDT and its metabolites p,p'-DDD p,p'-DDE, PCB's and lindane were determined in fillet composite samples of mullet Mullus barbatus from gulf of Tunis. A simple pre-treatement procedure was optimised for this aim. Mean values (dry weight) were 0.02ppm p,p'-DDT, 0.010 ppm p,p'-DDD, 0.039 ppm p,p'-DDE, 0.12 ppm PCB's and 0.015 ppm lindane. Significant correlation were found between size and chlorinaled hydrocarbon content. The correlation between organochlorine concentrations were also significant.
