Abstract

The study of circalittoral trawling of Tunis gulf bottom has permitted to put in evidence three zones: 1/The littoral girdle from 20 to 50 miles including detrial an sand muddy bottom. 2/The muddy coasts from 50 to 70 meters. 3/The transition bottom situated between 70 to 110 meters. These bottoms represent the best exploitable field and contain fauna which characracterize the fine detrictic sediments. The ichtyologic fauna of the Tunis gulf is relatively poor; in certain over-exploited zones, one remarks a diminution in size of some species
