The stock assessment in the Tunisian freshwater by hydro acoustic is original. The reserve of the Sidi Salem dam was selected as an experimental area in order to develop the methodology. The study of the piscicultural behaviour of the fish species in the reserve made it possible to support the counting of individual targets to the echo integration. The echo prospection allows us to assess the instantaneous biomass of all the species of the Sidi Salem reservoir at 192.4 t, that's to say biomass for pikeperch, mullet, wels, carp, roach and rudd at 75 t, 7.7 t, 1.9 t, 3.9 t, 11.5 t and 92.3 t respectively
