Le rouget de roche (Mullus surmuletus l. 1758) des cotes nord Tunisiennes : reproduction, sexualité et croissance

The aim of this work is to update biological parameters of the striped red mullet in the northern Tunisian coasts, which would be compulsory for ulterior evaluation stocks studies. The monthly variation of gonadosomatic index indicate that striped red mullet is spawning from April to July. Length frequency distribution showed that females where more abundant in the majority of size classes. The estimated lengths at maturity (Lm50) were 16.02cm for males and 16.43cm for females. According to the length-weight relationship; allometry is isometric for both males and females but positive for pooled sexes
