The diet of Plectorhynchus mediterraneus, studied according to the seasons and to the length concerned 488 specimens of Lf varying from 17.2 to 42.1 cm. The annual coefficient of vacuity is 47.95%. This fish feeds principally on Crustacean Amphipoda and Isopoda. Decapoda, Bivalvs, Cephalopoda and Annelida are the complementary preys of the first order. Whereas, Gastropoda, Chorda, Fishes and Crabs constitute the complementary preys of the second order. Amphipoda remains the preferable food of this fish during all the seasons and whatever is the size of the fish.
