Abstract

The growth study of Pagr us caeruleostictus in Nouakchott (Mauritania) was realized by scalimetry method.The monthly variations of marginal lengthening show that the ring of slowing growth appeared in February. By retro-calculation, we have determined the fork length corresponding to each class age. The application of Von Bertalanffy model has permitted to obtain the parameters of linear growth and growth weight. The values of theoretical length obtained by the Von Bertalanffy equation were nearly similar to those calculated by retro – calculation.
