The authors presents a new description of Centrophorus granulosus (Schneider, 1801) based on morphological, biometric and meristic features and on the anatomy of pelvic girdle and claspers, from males and females, juveniles and adults caught off Tunisian coasts. New data on the reproductive biology of C. granulosus are given, so as on its body weight-growth, liver weight-growth, the cubic coefficient of condition and the growth of embryos. C. granulosus is a voracious species that feeds all-the-year-round on bathybenthic prey, including teleosts, cephalopods and crustaceans
