Abstract

A study of the diet of 15 species of Selacians has been conducted to determine the relationship between these fishes and zoobenthos. The analysis of the stomach contents show that the zoobenthic groups utilized by the Selacians for feeding are limited, resulting in a faunistic disequilibrium. This analysis also provides good information on the distribution of the zoobenthos.
