The biochemical composition of Mactra corallina collected, in march 2009, from Kalaât El Andalous (Ka) sandy beach from Tunis Golf, revel an important quantity of palmitic acid (C16:0), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, C20 :5n-3) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA C22 :6 n-3). The glycogen content is higher in adductor muscle (22,15mg/g FW) campared to than the digestive gland-gonad group. This last group presents a more important quantity in total proteins.
