In the coastal area of the gulf of Gabes, the inventory and distribution of the exotic molluscs and crustaceans’ decapoda and their bio-invasion were studied by dredging and benthic trawling on board a trawling during two summer cruises (summer 2009, summer 2010). The inventory show four species of exotic molluscs (two gastropods and two bivalves) and four species of exotic decapoda crustaceans. For molluscs, three species have been a high abundance in the gulf (Erosaria turdus, Fulvia fragilis and Pinctada radiata), whereas, for Decapod crustaceans, only one species has been a high abundance in the gulf (Trachysalambria palaestiniensis). This study showed that four species have been considered invasive species in the gulf. In addition to, the abundance of these species has increased considerably from year to the next. This bio-invasion has influenced by the ecosystem of the gulf of Gabes, especially, for the type of substrate, the flora and distribution of autochthon species.
