Abstract

The Sciaenidae, typical fishes of tropical waters, are not abundant in Tunisian waters; they are caught chiefly from inshore fishery; their occurence is almost more important in the bay of Gabes and so the tropical affinities of the Tunisian southern region could be confirmed
