Abstract

The analysis of malacological fauna from several dredgings and cores collected in the lake of Tunis, has determined more than eighty different species. The study of cores is particularly interesting because it gives informations concerning the evolution of the lake: this was an open bay that became separated from the Mediterranean by an accreting sandy barrier spit, forming a lagoon
