Two experiences have been carried to appraise the substitution, in fish food, of soya by biscuit wastes, in order to reduce food cost. Five experimental diets, containing different proportions of biscuit wastes(0, 7, and 15%) have been tested on sea-bream, 100g and 4g weight. The results showed that the optimum biscuit wastes proportion used in fish food is 7%. At this rate, fish growth increases (+23% in Specific Growth Rate) and food conversion index decreases (-23.8% in Food Conversion Rate). These performances induce a profit of 26.7% in feeding cost. Otherwise, the use of biscuit wastes in fish food is more efficient for fish ongrowing stage (fish weight more than 30g) and when this by-product is used in it cooked form
