Abstract

Sole larvae (Solea senegalensis) aged 11 days, obtained from natural spawning of reared broodstook, were fed with different artemia nauplii densities: 1, 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 nauplii/ml. Two series of experiment were carried out in the same conditions at the aquaculture laboratory. For the first serie, artemia in the digestive tract was counted after 20, 40, 60 and 70 minutes after the onset of the experiment. For the second serie, artemia was counted each 30 minutes after the onset of the experiment to 180 minutes. The relation ship between the ingested preys and densities, during 90 and 180 minutes after food distribution, showed the increasing of food intake with the increasing of prey density reaching the satiation level at the density of 9 nauplii/ml.
