The purpose of this bibliographical study is to know the environmental characteristics of high sea in the eastern side of kerkenah islands (depth more than 50 m). In spite of their rarity, the collected data do not show any hydrobiological particularities, except the atlantical water influence on the temperature and salinity of surface water, in the northern part of Gabes gulf. The synthesis of these data allows us to conclude that phosphogypsum dissemination does not affect the concerned high sea. And there is not any ecological problem caused by the propagation of other chemical pollutants. Finally, the analysis of hydrodynamic results show a gyratory circulation of water in the concerned area.
