The study on population dynamics of pikeperch Stizostedion lucioperca living in Sidi Salem reservoir ( the north of Tunisia was realized between april 1996 and march 1998. It a was led on a sample of 1320 individuals caught by the professional fishermen of the region. This study showed that :- more than 75 % of the fishes caught had a mean total length less than 30 cm- the recruitment length estimated of 18 cm is very inferior than the first maturity length of the species which is about 24 cm- both mean length and weight of individuals had been improved during 1997 comparatively to 1996.- the mortality rate of I+, II+ and III+ age groups was high as a consequence of an intensive fishing effort.
