he study of the feeding habits of the striped red mullet (Mullus surmuletus L, 1758) of the Tunisian North coasts during the year 2006 fact of appearing that this mullidae euryphage consumed benthic macrofaune mainly shellfish, polycheata and molluscs. Of another preys like echinodermata, the nematoda and the finfish constitute its secondary preys. The diet of this species varies with the seasons and the body size but any influence of sexuality was not shown.
