Distribution saisonnière des crustacés Oniscidae et Talitridae au niveau du littoral de la région el Maamoura (Kelibia, Cap Bon

Abstract

The study of the spatio-temporal distribution of Crustaceans (Oniscidae and Talitridae) is carried out along a transect located at the littoral of Maamoura region. Sampling consisted in carrying a quadrate of 50 x 50 cm next to each other along the transect perpendicular to the shoreline. Two species of Oniscoids and one species of Talitridae were identified. Whatever the season, the Talitridae are more abundant than the Oniscidae; their relative abundance varies from 53% (autumn) to 79.6% (winter). We noticed that the identified species were characterized by a seasonal variability in their spatial distribution. Overall, they approached to the shore line during the spring, summer and autumn, and they move away during the winter. Physico-chemical parameters were focalized in temperature and the humidity of the soil which were impacting their distribution.
