Microcotyle panceri Sonsino, 1891, found in the gills of Umbrina cirrhosa in the gulf of Tunis is described again in greater detail. The swimming ciliated larva was obtained experimentally. Observation of post-larval stages makes it possible to compare its development with that of the other Microcotyle.
