Abstract

 

A siganid fish, Siganus luridus (Ruppel), netted at a depth of 5 m in front of INSTOP, Salammbo, on Dec 20, 1969, constitutes a new addition to the Tunisian fish fauna. S. luridus, a Red Sea sp, previously has been reported from the Eastern Mediterranean. The principal characteristics of the specimen are given.
