The diversity of isopods and digences parasites of Scorpaenidae was established. A total of 533 Scorpaena scrofa, 421 Scorpaena porcus and 484 Scorpaena notata were examined from the Bay of Bizerte, the fishing ports of La Goulette, Sousse and Mahdia. Macroscopic and microscopic examinations allowed us to identify 10species (6ectoparasites and 4 mesoparasites). Concerning the ectoparasites, we have collected on the body and in the oral and branchial cavities six species of isopods: Nerocila bivittata (Risso, 1816), Nerocila orbignyi (Guerin-Méneville, 1832), Ceratothoa oestroides (Risso, 1816), Pullus secundus stage of Ceratothoa parallela (Otto, 1828), Anilocra physodes (Linnaeus, 1758) and Gnathia sp. For the mesoparasites, four species of digences were collected of which three species in the intestine: Poracanthium furcatum Dollfus, 1948, Helicometra fasciata (Rudolphi, 1819) Odhner, 1902 and Derogenes varicus (Müller, 1784) and one species in the gallbladder Deretrema scorpaenicola Bartoli & Bray, 1990. In the present work, we report the parasitic index of the collected species of parasites infecting the Scorpaenidae hosts.
