On May 2016, an abnormally pigmented specimen of Solea solea Linnaeus with a total length of 18 cm was observed from the Tunis gulf. The blind side was intensely colored than the eyed side from the tail up to ¾ of the total body, the rest of the blind side is non-pigmented This is the first record of abnormal pigmentation in the wild common sole from Tunisian water.
