Lean Management and Regenerative Blue Economy
The Mediating Role of Employee Creativity

This study explores the mediating role of employee creativity in the relationship between Lean Management and regenerative sustainability in the blue economy. Using data from 220 aquaculture workers and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling., results indicate that Lean Management positively influences regenerative sustainability (β = 0.350, p = 0.013), with employee creativity significantly mediating this effect (β = 0.247, p < 0.001).
The findings highlight creativity as a key driver translating Lean efficiency into regenerative innovation. The study recommends fostering. an innovation-centric culture and integrating Lean with circular economy principles to advance marine ecosystem restoration. This research offers a practical framework for companies balancing economic performance with environmental stewardship.
