The study of biological performances of gilthead sea-bream nourished with a semi-dry food during the phase of growth has been carried in the national centre of aquaculture. It lasted 493 days and it showed that the survival rate of rearing obtained is 96% and that of specific growth is 0,26 with 0,45 as a maximum rate obtained from April to September. The rate of feeding transformation of the type of food mentioned above with presents very high values, consequently compromise the economic interest of its use for the intensive breeding of gilthead sea-bream.
