Abstract

The variety of mirror carp Cyprinus carpio specularis was introduced to Tunisia from 1965, and finds favourable conditions for its development in all breeding grounds, both in the North (Ain Sallem, Beja) and in the far south (Kebili and Douz). Some aspects are given concerning its reproduction growth, influence of temp and salinity and feeding in Tunisia.
