Abstract

Fish silage is a simple and economical conservation method. Its utilisation as a fish food is interesting and, in fact, it has given good results in Sea Bream feeding. Silage prepared with a mixture of 3% formic acid and sulfuric acid (1.5; 1.5%) gave a better growth of the Sea Bream than silage prepared with only 3% formic acid. This difference is caused by the nutritive quality and the consistancy of the food.
