Those units have recorded a production of 590 tons that is close to those of the two following years. Landings constituted essentially of hake Merluccius merluccius, red mullet Mullus barbatus, horse mackerel Trachurus sp., deep-water pink shrimp Parapenaeus longirostris, common pandora Pagellus sp. and picarel Spicara sp.. The experimental trawling in the gulf has given a hourly output of 45 Kg and the proportion of discards was evaluated at 16%. The demographic structure study of the main species shows that the exploitation in the gulf involves age groups equal or superior to 1 year.
