Abstract

The results of the grain size analysis of the sediments of surface of the lagoon of Bizerte, taken with various depths, made it possible to identify the nature of its sediments and to specify the factors and the phenomena which intervene in their transport and their deposit. The sedimentological study showed that the detrital materials of continental origin and the sediments coming from the coastal erosion are subjected to a dynamics which is controlled primarily by the action of the currents due primarily to the winds.
