Abstract

An incomplete body of a Balaenoptera (possibly Balaenoptera physalus Linnaeus 1758) was found on 18 August 1986 on the beach of Carthage Dermech (Tunisia). The characteristics of the animal and the previous observations in the Mediterranean Sea and Tunisia are reported.
